Transformation Director, Transaction Banking

At SMBC Group, we are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our transformation efforts in Transaction Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing a comprehensive transformation roadmap, aligned with our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a transformation strategy that drives business process re-engineering, digitalization, and organizational redesign.
- Design and institutionalize a framework for value-based and customer-centric prioritization of transformation initiatives.
- Lead process standardization programs using process management, project management, and change management techniques.
- Perform process mapping and quantitative analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.
- Benchmark with industry best practices to deliver best-in-class process models.
- Forge partnerships with process owners and stakeholders to establish and maintain continuous improvement programs.
- Identify and enable workflow and resource automation to reduce manual effort and handoffs.
- Develop a quality culture across Transaction Banking and Operations through training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Strong working experience in business transformation and operational excellence in the financial services industry.
- Strong process re-engineering and process modelling experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in managing business process re-engineering initiatives, with a focus on transaction banking.
- Customer journey-based approach to operational transformation.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders across all levels, junior to senior management.
- Strong customer-centric mindset, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent proficiency in English language.
- Ability to lead projects and initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Six Sigma or Lean or CMMI certification is essential.
