We are seeking a highly skilled Onboarding Analyst to join our team at KGI Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. As an Onboarding Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of new clients and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough reviews of account opening applications for individuals and entities, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- Perform periodic Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews of existing clients, identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with procedural standards.
- Screen clients for sanctions, politically exposed persons, and adverse media/negative news, ensuring the integrity of our client base.
- Collaborate with the front office to identify gaps in CDD documentation and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in maintaining databases for FATCA and CRS reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Continuously review and improve the onboarding workflow and process, updating Policy & Procedure Manuals (PPM) as needed.
- Lead Operations Account Management systems' projects, enhancements, and automation initiatives.
- Perform background screenings of counterparties and employees, ensuring the highest level of integrity.
- Provide support to other teams regarding updates and assist in retrieving signatures via shared drives.
- Prepare and submit invoices, as well as Letters of Offer and Closure.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including vlookup, is essential for this role.
- Additional ad-hoc duties may be assigned, including monthly/quarterly reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Banking/Finance/Business Management, preferably CAMS certified.
- At least 1 year of working experience in Securities/Private Banking firms.
- Minimally 1 year of experience in Corporate CDD/AML, preferably with complex trust structures and fund investments.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Able to work under pressure.
- A detail-oriented person with the ability to multitask.
- Good verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to team efforts.
- Preferably proficient in Chinese language to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients.
