About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Onboarding Analyst to join our team at KGI Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. As an Onboarding Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of new clients and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of account opening applications for individuals and entities, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
  • Perform periodic Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews of existing clients, identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with procedural standards.
  • Screen clients for sanctions, politically exposed persons, and adverse media/negative news, ensuring the integrity of our client base.
  • Collaborate with the front office to identify gaps in CDD documentation and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in maintaining databases for FATCA and CRS reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Continuously review and improve the onboarding workflow and process, updating Policy & Procedure Manuals (PPM) as needed.
  • Lead Operations Account Management systems' projects, enhancements, and automation initiatives.
  • Perform background screenings of counterparties and employees, ensuring the highest level of integrity.
  • Provide support to other teams regarding updates and assist in retrieving signatures via shared drives.
  • Prepare and submit invoices, as well as Letters of Offer and Closure.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including vlookup, is essential for this role.
  • Additional ad-hoc duties may be assigned, including monthly/quarterly reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Banking/Finance/Business Management, preferably CAMS certified.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in Securities/Private Banking firms.
  • Minimally 1 year of experience in Corporate CDD/AML, preferably with complex trust structures and fund investments.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • A detail-oriented person with the ability to multitask.
  • Good verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to team efforts.
  • Preferably proficient in Chinese language to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients.
