Job Title: In-House Counsel Expertise

  • We are seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on all aspects of law, regulations, and company rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the business departments, traders, and Managing Directors of Affiliates;
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts;
  • Develop and/or update relevant templates and standard Terms & Conditions for all businesses in Singapore;
  • Lead the legal assistance on business development activities;
  • Assist, advise, and negotiate alongside with the business, finance, and tax teams;
  • Ensure the drafting and reviewing of all corporate transactions;
  • Prepare legal notes and coordinate with risk/compliance, tax, and finance teams to consolidate a comprehensive legal and compliance opinion.

Requirements:

  • Degree in law (LLB) in university and called to the Singapore bar;
  • Min 8-12 years of experience in either a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably experience covered from trading & distribution, property development, construction related;
  • Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, knowledge of litigation;
  • Able to travel to Malaysia (Penang, Johor, KL) with Managing Director for M&A jobs.
