As we continue to grow and expand our services, we are looking for a skilled In-House Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview

The In-House Legal Counsel will play a critical role in supporting Rikvin Capital's operations by providing legal expertise across a wide range of areas, including regulatory compliance, loan agreements, risk management, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial law and be adept at navigating the legal challenges unique to the bridge funding and asset-backed lending industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws affecting bridge funding and asset-backed lending.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements and other contracts to protect the company's interests.
  3. Conduct legal due diligence for potential borrowers and associated collateral.
  4. Manage legal disputes and litigation, working towards favorable resolutions.
  5. Advise on corporate governance, including board decisions and shareholder relations.
  6. Collaborate with the risk management team to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  7. Stay updated on legal developments impacting the industry and advise on adjustments to business practices.
  8. Oversee the management of intellectual property rights and contractual agreements.
Qualifications
  1. Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.
  2. Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
  3. Proven experience in financial law, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in bridge funding, asset-backed lending, or securities.
  4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
