Head of Channel Development Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our channel development efforts and drive growth across retail and high-net-worth segments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive distribution strategy, aligning with our business objectives and market trends.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a multi-channel growth strategy, identifying opportunities for synergy and optimization across channels and markets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform distribution strategy and optimize channel performance.
  • Align with distribution and other functions to ensure collective accountabilities and delivery of sustainable financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • Provide regular management updates on key areas for growth and risk, leveraging insights from finance, distribution performance, and external distribution partners.

HNW Commercial Development:

This role will focus on developing and executing our high-net-worth (HNW) strategy in Singapore, aligning with our overall growth ambition. Key responsibilities include:


  • Designing and developing HNW customer segment insights, identifying needs and developing appropriate marketing and client engagement approaches.
  • Leading the development of HNW-related products and solutions, incorporating internal capabilities and external benchmarking.
  • Understanding the distribution value chain and dynamics of HNW, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyzing HNW segment financials, including product VNB, commercial terms, and distribution and marketing cost effectiveness.
  • Ensuring new business and underwriting competitiveness, aligned with internal and external benchmarking.
  • Managing legal, risk, and regulatory compliance risks associated with distribution, sales process, and cross-border enablement.

Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience in large-scale change and transformation projects.
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge in distribution in bancassurance and partnerships.
  • Background in customer proposition, especially in HNW/UHNW segments, beneficial.
  • Good understanding of legal, financial, and regulatory compliance risks associated with distribution.
  • Experience in matrix stakeholder management and approval governance.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environment, with outstanding interpersonal and communications skills.

The chosen candidate will be required to undergo enhanced vetting, subject to local laws, and must satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
