Job Overview

The Deputy Head of Home plays a pivotal role in supporting the community by leading a team of staff to ensure smooth daily operations and delivery of care services.

  • Lead and supervise staff to guarantee seamless service delivery.
  • Oversee the provision of personal, health, and nursing care services to residents.
  • Mentor and train newly recruited staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

This leader will also be responsible for:

  • Preparing proposals, reports, and documentation required by regulatory and funding bodies.
  • Developing enhancements to programmes that improve residents' well-being and quality of life.
  • Conducting research and focus groups on best practices in elderly care.

In addition, this leader will:

  • Ensure compliance with policies and SOPs to maintain high standards.
  • Collate and submit statistics, reports, and documentation required by regulatory and funding bodies.
  • Network and collaborate with external agencies to share best practices and stay updated.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Healthcare, Nursing, Gerontology, or related discipline.
  • 4-5 years' supervisory experience in healthcare, eldercare, or residential care settings.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to drive success.
