Job Title: Employment Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Support Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment in finding and maintaining employment.

About the Role

The Employment Support Specialist will be responsible for providing one-on-one coaching and support to clients to help them achieve their employment goals. This includes assessing client needs, developing job search strategies, and connecting clients with potential employers. You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by helping them to gain employment and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized coaching and support to clients to help them achieve their employment goals.
  • Assess client needs and develop tailored job search strategies.
  • Connect clients with potential employers and facilitate interviews.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify potential job opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in a related field (e.g. social work, counseling, education).
  • At least 3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
