Job Coach

A Job Coach is a vital role in facilitating the transition of special education graduates into employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with individuals with disabilities to provide individualized coaching and job support through various modes of communication, such as online and face-to-face interactions.
  • Design and implement job support strategies for various job roles to better support individuals with disabilities.
  • Educate employers, supervisors, and co-workers on creating an inclusive work environment and promoting sustainable employment.
  • Assess and provide recommendations on necessary workplace modifications to assist individuals with disabilities in job assimilation and task performance.
  • Collaborate with individuals with disabilities and their support networks to help sustain employment, address work-related concerns, and resolve issues.
  • Provide training and advisory services to employers, supervisors, and co-workers on building natural support systems.
  • Impart social and soft skills to individuals with disabilities as part of work preparation.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder with at least 3 years of work experience in the social service, disability sector, education, or human resources field.
  • Experience in job coaching or client-facing roles would be advantageous.
  • Ability to engage, understand, and meet the diverse needs of clients and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and take on other roles when required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
