- Adapt to the dynamic needs of the business, demonstrating flexibility to work various shifts throughout the week.
- Maintain focus on tasks, ensuring completion before transitioning to new assignments.
- Adhere to the work list provided by the Chef de Partie, ensuring timely completion of all duties.
- Engage in company training sessions, embracing opportunities for professional growth while aligning with the company’s values.
- Foster a positive work environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues in the culinary department.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and take pride in the quality of products prepared for guests.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and fire safety protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues to culinary management following established procedures.
- Uphold high grooming standards for yourself and your team, ensuring excellent customer interactions, especially in public areas.
- Punctually report for shifts as scheduled, notifying management of any absences in accordance with company policy.
Culinary Duties
- Oversee the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain the quality of food products, ensuring they meet sanitary conditions and follow the 'First in First Out' practice.
- Ensure proper storage of food items in designated refrigeration and storage areas during shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all culinary workspaces, ensuring colleagues clean their stations post-service.
- Utilize kitchen equipment safely and instruct fellow culinary staff on proper usage.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Patisserie or Bakery.
- 1-3 years of experience in pastry or bakery roles.
- Ability to identify various types and categories of raw materials.
- Knowledge of different culinary styles.
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with essential cooking preparation methods and knife skills.
- Professional appearance and grooming standards.
- Willingness to work shifts as required.
