Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Patient Relations Manager to join our team at Upper Spring Consulting PTE. LTD. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that patients and their families have a positive experience throughout their journey with our hospital group.


Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, communications, and counseling, with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a similar field. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000-$120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.


Main Responsibilities

As a Patient Relations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing contact with patients and their families at the point of referral or upon admission to the wards.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for patients and their families, providing guidance and support throughout their stay.
  • Implementing workflows to ensure a seamless experience at every touch point with patients and their families.
  • Identifying caregiver stress and sensitive issues, offering counsel and suggestions to resolve problems or handle situations.
  • Supporting staff and HODs who are struggling with patient relations and communication issues.
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring Ward Ambassadors as part of the Patients Relations Team.
  • Reviewing and assisting in handling feedback received through the Patients Feedback Form.
  • Collaborating with Corporate Communications, Pastoral Care Services, and Nursing to organize patient engagement events.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Public Relations, Communications, and Counseling, or a related field.
  • Relevant working experience in hospitality, public relations, or caregiver support and counseling.
  • A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a similar field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maturity and resilience, with the ability to cope with challenging situations.
