This role is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the organisational strategy for enhancing patient relations and ensuring a positive care experience. In addition, the role will involve overseeing communications and patient relations, fostering strong relationships with patients and their families, and collaborating with department heads and staff to operationalise the patient experience strategy.
Job Description
Establish initial contact with patients and their families at the point of referral or upon admission, serving as the primary liaison for support and communication.
Implement workflows to ensure a positive experience at every interaction, while identifying caregiver stress and providing counsel to address sensitive issues effectively.
Supervise, train, and mentor the Ward Ambassadors on the Patient Relations Team, while reviewing and managing feedback and complaints to ensure appropriate responses.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to organise programs and events that enhance patient engagement and improve the overall patient experience.
Proactively identify and engage with caregivers in supportive conversations, while collaborating with external agencies for additional resources and post-discharge follow-up, and participating in ward processes related to patient relations and experience.
Job Requirements
Diploma Level and above in Public Relations, Communications, and Counselling.
3-5 years of relevant managerial experience within a healthcare setting will be advantageous.
