POSITION SUMMARY
The Pastry Sous Chef plays a vital role in the culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation are consistently achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the production of pastry items, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to secure top-quality ingredients.
- Supervise food preparation processes to guarantee compliance with established recipes and standards.
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation protocols across all kitchen areas.
- Deliver training and mentorship to team members to promote uniformity in food preparation.
- Forecast food requirements, manage inventory, and strive to reduce waste.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff to foster a productive work environment.
- Qualifications: Culinary Diploma, a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality sector, exceptional culinary expertise, and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
- Adherence to all organizational policies and procedures is mandatory.
