Job Title

Partnerships Specialist

 Job Description:

To achieve our desired fundraising outcomes and strengthen donor care, the candidate will be responsible for growing our fundraising efforts through donor engagement, corporate partnerships, and campaigns. The candidate will also initiate meaningful touchpoints with strategic partners and generate leads for collaboration.

The role involves understanding Focus' core programmes and services to provide timely and accurate reports of impact measurement and outcomes to donors and partners. This includes working with Lead, Relations and Partnerships to plan, forecast, and manage overall Relations budget.

The Partnerships Specialist will also manage, develop, and organise fundraising initiatives and events to achieve fundraising goals. Additionally, the candidate will initiate, build, and manage relationships with strategic constituent donors and partners.

Furthermore, the Partnerships Specialist will formulate, lead, and direct donor care strategy to build and raise donors and partners for sustained collaboration. This includes project, forecasting, and developing growth potentials for fundraising and partnership campaigns.

Lastly, the candidate will source for and pursue grant applications, manage approved grants, and funds in collaboration with other departments to build financial stability.

Requirements:
  • Minimally a Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in a fundraising, corporate partnerships, or donor relations, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with a creative edge and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong conversational and networking skills.
  • Strong analytical skills using metrics and digital systems and tools.
  • Highly collaborative and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Emotional intelligence and adaptability to build relationships across different categories of stakeholders.
  • Self-initiated and resilient with high integrity and ethical conduct.
