About the Role

New Life Community Services is a not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to bringing hope and purpose to children, youths, and seniors, empowering them to create a positive impact in their community and society.

The Director, Marketing and Partnerships reports to the Executive Director and collaborates closely with the Board members and stakeholders to drive fundraising efforts and deliver good outcomes for the beneficiaries and families.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing:

  • Collaborate with Education Services to develop a comprehensive Branding and Marketing Strategy.

Strategic Communications:

  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies to manage corporate branding, media relations, fund-raising, and other engagement initiatives.

Fundraising and Donor Engagement:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of prospective donors to contribute towards the long-term financial sustainability of New Life Community Services.

Partnership Management:

  • Lead the identification, cultivation, and management of strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.

Volunteer Management:

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to recruit volunteers with the right skills and ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Drive the volunteer management program to train, deploy, support, retain, and appreciate volunteers.
  • Communicate volunteer opportunities and initiatives to partners and the community, promoting volunteerism and engagement.

Project Management:

  • Meticulous project management skills with attention to details and an analytical mindset. Proven ability to manage marketing projects from conception to completion, ensuring the team meets timelines and delivers quality results.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and maximizing ROI. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and document processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or postgraduate degree in a relevant professional field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the social services sector or non-profit organization, community outreach, partnership building, or fundraising.
  • A strong track record in delivering community impact and engaging with community work or working with beneficiaries from vulnerable backgrounds.
  • Strategic, innovative, articulate, and motivated – a go-getter.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to prepare messages for pitching to donors and prospects. A high level of written and presentation skills is advantageous.
  • Leadership skills – to influence, guide, and mobilize team members to achieve high standards of service delivery.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to network effectively with government agencies, churches, and community partners.
