Business Development Director

KOWATA TECH ENGINEERINGS PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to drive business growth and expansion initiatives within the construction sector across China and key Asian markets.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to capitalize on growth opportunities, strengthen market presence, and achieve revenue targets across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic business development plan for the construction sector in China and targeted Asian countries, aligning strategies with corporate objectives, market dynamics, and growth opportunities to maximize results.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and assess new markets, segments, and growth opportunities within the construction industry across China and key Asian countries, conducting market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies to inform market entry strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers in China and across Asia, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding client needs to deliver tailored solutions enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Opportunity Pursuit: Lead the pursuit of new business opportunities, including project bids, partnerships, and acquisitions, within the construction sector, collaborating with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to the business development team across China and Asian countries, fostering a high-performance culture encouraging collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets through effective pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and conversion strategies, monitoring sales performance, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective actions as needed to optimize results.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, legal, and marketing teams, to ensure alignment of business development activities with company objectives and priorities, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes within the construction sector across China and Asian markets, leveraging market intelligence to identify emerging opportunities, mitigate risks, and shape strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives to enhance business development processes, tools, and methodologies, implementing best practices, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms to optimize performance and drive results.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in business development, market penetration, and relationship management within the construction industry, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of SGD 120,000 - 180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
