About the Job:At our healthcare facility, we have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant to join our team in the Day Ward. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the nursing team with daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist patients with orientation to the Day Ward Environment and provide them with necessary information regarding their stay.
- Perform pre-operative assessments for surgery patients and prepare them for surgery as needed.
- Collaborate with nurses to ensure a smooth discharge process by providing post-operative education to surgical patients.
- Support patient care activities and assist nurses with vital signs monitoring and recording.
- Assist with transporting patients to and from the Operating Theatre as required.
- Help with lifting, transferring, positioning, and safely transporting patients throughout the facility.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
