Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Patient Care Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support in our imaging facility. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic nursing and patient care, including assisting with preparation for procedures and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Assist radiographers and radiologists during procedures and communicate effectively with patients and their relatives.
- Adhere to strict infection control measures and exercise good hand hygiene.
- Assist in scheduling imaging procedures and advise patients on necessary preparation.
- Maintain the general cleanliness and upkeep of the assigned work area.
- Assist in transferring patients to and from the imaging facility.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Fresh Higher Nitec / Nitec / GCE N / O / A Level / Equivalent qualification.
- An ITE Skills Certificate in Health Care (Inpatient) or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support preferred.
- Ability to work on 3 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
