Media.Monks is in search of a proficient Media Strategy and Planning Director. This individual should possess the ability to delve into media and consumer insights, evaluate business metrics and objectives, and identify potential opportunities. Subsequently, this person will translate those findings into comprehensive media strategies and collaborate with teams to implement them effectively. A significant aspect of this role involves partnering with our growth teams to provide value to prospects, facilitating their conversion into clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Thoroughly comprehend client challenges and guide teams in delivering effective solutions. Grasp the nuances of the APAC market and explore cultural and client issues to extract insights and formulate robust media briefs. Shape the creation of media strategies and measurement frameworks to ensure media initiatives align with client goals and objectives. Assist in defining the media strategy and planning capabilities for the APAC region in collaboration with media leadership, including enabling existing teams. Leverage media research tools and resources to inform strategic media recommendations, encompassing demographic data, reach & frequency, audience composition, competitive insights, and market trends. Collaborate with Media Operations and Activation teams to guarantee the seamless execution of strategies, ensuring appropriate financial management. Oversee the entire media output for assigned clients, managing meetings and communications across buying teams, account management, measurement, and senior clients. Identify and utilize insights and trends through primary, secondary, and available data to formulate strategic recommendations for brand development and campaigns across paid, owned, and available channels. Capable of assembling and presenting materials for new business and media pitching activities; engage in regional growth within Media, including thought leadership and pitching. Partner with creative teams (internally or at client partner agencies) to translate creative concepts into media executions. Foster a culture of skill-sharing, training, learning, mentoring, guiding, and evolving strategy capabilities.

Key Qualifications:

Over 10 years of experience in media planning and strategy within a paid media agency. Proficient in analyzing complex data, including audience and channel research, market and sales information, competitive reporting, and more. Extensive experience in both digital and traditional media from strategy to execution, with a strong understanding of local market dynamics. Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills. Strong negotiation and communication abilities. Capacity to uncover the broader context in media objectives and translate this into tactical execution. Strong client management skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale media budgets with excellent financial oversight. In-depth knowledge of essential tools, including but not limited to: Nielsen, MRI/Simmons, GWI, Pathmatics, Kantar, MediaOcean, Google Suite.
