Regional Media Strategy Planning Manager

This role reports to the Strategy & Planning Director at GroupM.
Job Description:The Regional Media Strategy Planning Manager will be the day-to-day lead for the development of campaigns. They will work with cross-functional teams to guide strategy and deliver top-notch thinking and practical work. They will leverage data, company knowledge, cultural understanding, and consumer insights to tell impactful stories from the earliest research stage through strategic development, integrated communication planning, and campaign evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research on media consumption patterns for different markets and audiences.
- Take high-level communications tasks and identify how a brand should behave in different cultural spaces.
- Develop culturally-relevant connection ideas that live in media environments.
- Write go-to-market strategies for the launch of communication campaigns utilizing a variety of channels, targeting tactics, partners, and data providers.
- Build out a connections framework for a category across all levels of a decision journey.
- Mine client and consumer data in collaboration with cross-functional teams to uncover insights and inform decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients with your media findings and recommendations.
- Educate clients and internal stakeholders on media innovation trends and potential.
- Drive the strategic direction for a new business pitch.

- Is seen as a pivotal thought leader by clients when it comes to trading, contracts, vendors and delivering.
- Undergraduate degree in communication or media or business management (Post-graduate/masters preferred).
- At least 5 years in media planning experience or related field required.
- Knowledgeable about and experienced with the concepts, approaches and issues involved in tactical media planning.
- Familiar with the timelines, processes and needs of the implementation of all media.
- Knowledgeable about new approaches to and developments in tactical planning.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to make decisions and use critical thinking.
- Knowledge and use of various research systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint.
- Capability to operate effectively in a dynamic, adaptable, agile environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage diverse conversations with various stakeholders.
