Job Summary

DBS Bank is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and support of multiple applications using the latest technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new applications and features, ensuring they meet the required quality and security standards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, vendors, and security teams, to ensure seamless support for the business.
  • Manage production issues, responding in a timely manner to meet service level agreements with the business.
  • Enhance existing development, release, and support processes to maintain or improve service levels and quality.
  • Conduct unit testing using automated unit test frameworks.
  • Identify risks and conduct mitigation action planning, continually creating, improving, and re-engineering build and delivery pipelines, CI/CD workflows, build, and deployment based on automation scripts.
  • Use DevOps tools and frameworks to monitor applications and build recovery processes.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in application development and support.
  • Core technical competency required: Java,.Net, SQL, Shell scripts, PowerShell, Avaloq, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Apache Karaf, React, JavaScript/jQuery, MariaDB, MS SQL, Oracle, and Neo4j.
  • Good to have experience: OpenShift, ELK, Application Monitoring Tools, Cloud Technologies, Python.
  • Education: Preferably Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Tech.
  • Experienced in development, delivering financial domain projects, which includes providing BAU support to mission-critical applications in the banking domain.
  • Experienced in conducting unit testing using automated unit test frameworks.
  • Experience using DevOps tools and frameworks to monitor applications.
  • Team player with good inter-personal skills and ability to work with other teams as well as with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently with a can-do mindset and minimal supervision.
  • Good problem-solving and process improvement skills.
  • Meticulous, detailed, and logical in thought process; able to articulate clearly and have good written communication skills.
