Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

A Purchasing cum Logistics Executive is responsible for managing both the procurement and logistics operations of a company. This role involves sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the movement of goods and services, ensuring that products are acquired at the best possible prices, delivered on time, and meet quality standards. The individual will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to streamline processes, maintain inventory, and ensure the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to end customers or internal departments.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of supply chain processes, and experience in both procurement and logistics functions. A good understanding of inventory management and logistics software is also beneficial.

Purchasing:

  • Obtain quotes to various vendors upon receipt of Request for Quotation.
  • Closely follow-up and ensure timely receipt of quotations.
  • Extensively source required products / services in the most economical way.
  • Prepare and evaluate bid tabulation for recommendation on the best quotation option.
  • Timely placement of orders to avoid delays in material deliverables.
  • Monitor and expedite delivery as and when required.
  • Data Entry for billing to related Takagi Ramen/ Takagi Food/ Daichi Kitchen

Logistics:

  • Assist to operate vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring that all stock are transported to their destination on time, when required.
  • Responsible for smooth logistics activity, warehousing transportation, and shipping by closely communicate with internal and external parties. Deliver stock from warehouse to outlets
  • Warehouse duties such as unloading goods from containers & arranging them
  • Inventory Management (Receiving, checking, ordering and counting of stocks from suppliers), ensure warehouse is arranged in an orderly manner
  • Operate Pallet Jack and Pallet Stacker to keep warehouse neat and tidy
  • Assist Driver to unload goods to the outlets.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety for the warehouse area
  • Liaise with freight forwarder and handing import shipment documents
  • In charge of financial month end & year end physical stocks take listing
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the management

Requirements

  • ITE Certificate / Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or its equivalent.
  • Min. 1 -2 years relevant experiences
  • Hands-on person and comfortable to roll-up sleeves to assist Driver / Warehouse in physical works where necessary.
  • IT savvy with proficiency skills in MS Words / Excel
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills, ability to interact with internal / external stakeholders
  • Competent negotiation skills
  • Class 3 driving licence preferred
