The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) is the global valuation standards setter, responsible for developing the global approach to valuation through high quality standards and encouraging professionalism.

We are a not-for-profit organisation working in the public interest. The organisation is headquartered in London, with regional offices in Singapore and soon, in the Middle East & Africa. Our Board of Trustees is chaired by former Minister Lim Hwee Hua.

We have over 200 member and sponsor organisations. Our stakeholders include world leading regulators, valuation professional organisations, preparers of valuations, users of valuations, including investors, and academic institutions.

Volunteer Board members originate from over 40 countries. They are key leaders from valuation professional organisations, major professional services providers, universities, government departments, some of the largest investors in the world, major regulators, and other renowned standard setters.

The IVSC is looking to recruit an Institutional Relationships Manager, based in Singapore. This would initially be for a 12-month contract with strong potential to become permanent if you are successful in this role. Package includes generous annual bonus and vacation days.

Role

· Support the IVSC's strategy of outreach and engagement to increase awareness and use of IVS and attract new Asia based members and sponsors.

· Act as the key point of contact from IVSC Asia with external stakeholders.

· Collaborate within the organisation to provide a seamless experience to all stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing, in-depth research and analysis to map out clusters of possible new organisations who we can engage with to increase awareness and use of IVS and potentially attract to join IVSC as members or sponsors.
  • Identify key decision makers within potential stakeholders with whom we can establish long-term relationships.
  • Work with senior staff to generate, contact and follow up with potential new stakeholders.
  • Help establish and maintain constructive relationships with existing members and sponsors by providing exceptional service, listening to their needs, and addressing their concerns.

Required skills, qualities and qualifications

  • University degree (bachelor's or above)
  • 2+ years relevant working experience in customer service, sales, account management or a related field
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Innate sense of customer service.
  • A naturally outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Be a proficient English-speaker and writer.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Singapore citizenship or Permanent Resident.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Familiarity with valuation, accounting/or and finance
  • Fluent in at least one major Asian language.
