About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Executive to oversee and expand our presence in supermarkets, vending machines, mini-marts, and other retail channels. This role requires managing key retail accounts, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring effective merchandising strategies to drive product visibility and sales.
The ideal candidate should have experience in FMCG sales, supermarket relationships, and managing a merchandising team to ensure proper stock levels, shelf placement, and promotional execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Account Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with supermarkets, convenience stores, vending machine operators, and food service partners.
- Secure product listings, negotiate pricing, and plan promotional campaigns with retailers.
- Identify new business opportunities to expand distribution and increase market share.
- Work closely with supermarket buyers, vending operators, and retail chains to ensure smooth account management.
2. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet revenue and market expansion targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and promotional effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop retail marketing campaigns and activations.
- Work with the finance team on payment collections and account reconciliations.
3. Merchandising Team Management
- Oversee the merchandising team to ensure proper stock levels, shelf visibility, and promotional compliance in supermarkets.
- Set and monitor KPIs for merchandisers, ensuring stores are well-stocked and displays are properly maintained.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement and competitor activity.
- Provide training and support to the merchandising team for effective in-store execution.
4. Operations & Logistics Coordination
- Ensure timely fulfillment of orders by coordinating with the operations and logistics teams.
- Address supermarket and vending machine stock issues to prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Track merchandising reports and ensure retail partners are following agreed-upon stocking plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in FMCG sales, retail merchandising, or key account management.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with supermarkets, mini-marts, and vending machine operators.
- Experience managing a merchandising team and ensuring proper execution of in-store displays.
- Ability to analyze sales data, manage inventory levels, and optimize product placement.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Existing connections in the supermarket, retail, or vending industry would be an advantage.
