Purpose of the role

The primary role in the Portfolio Management Unit (PMU) is to develop a distribution strategy for the loan portfolio of Global Corporate & Investment Banking for APAC (GCIB APAC). This includes setting strategies aligned with GCIB goals and risk tolerance, overseeing the distribution book, implementing monitoring processes, and standardizing tracking of KPIs. Additionally, the role involves building and managing MIS tools, supervising staff, and ensuring effective information flow.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop distribution strategy for the loan portfolio in collaboration with DCM to align with GCIB objectives and financial targets.
  • Establish and manage loan distribution warehouses and decision-making processes.
  • Make recommendations to enhance portfolio profitability and increase distribution volume.
  • Monitor distribution book performance and report regularly to senior management.
  • Monitor fees and promote distribution discipline.
  • Build and scale MIS tools for transparency in underwriting and distribution results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies and improve transparency.
  • Lead communication with various teams to execute portfolio strategies.
  • Supervise staff and provide development opportunities.
  • Manage team resources and enhance processes.
  • Provide coaching, career progression, and training for staff.
  • Maintain and update MIS tools for distribution strategy.
  • Demonstrate leadership and interact with senior stakeholders.
  • Follow directives and handle additional tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in the financial industry.
  • 7 years of experience in financial products and distribution processes.
  • 5 years of leadership and project management experience.
  • Strategic planning and strong communication skills.
  • Effective management, coaching, and leadership abilities.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree or higher.
