Roles & Responsibilities

The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) is the appointed Standards Development Organisation (SDO) for the Building and Construction Standards Committee and Transportation Standards Committee. IES-SDO actively engages our members, industry partners and stakeholders in the development, promotion and adoption of Technical References and Singapore Standards for the Built Environment and/or Transportation community in Singapore. Job Description

As a member of the Singapore Standardisation Programme, you will work closely with industry partners from government agencies, institutions of higher learning, professional bodies, and industry associations to identify, develop and promote standards to support the built environment and/or transportation industry.


Job Scope

· Provide project leadership and is responsible for overall project performance;

· Prepare, track, manage project deliverables from start to end;

· Ensure project timeliness, and provide secretariat support such as preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, report compilation, formatting of standards drafts, etc;

· Engage standards partners and external agencies in standards development work;

· Organise and manage promotional events; and

· Collate information, data and feedback for standards development related activities.


Requirements

· Minimum Diploma; Degree will be advantageous;

· Preferably with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in built environment and/or transportation related field, though what is most important is a passion for quality and standards, and the desire to contribute;

· Project and event management experience and proficiency in IT tools are a plus.


Skills:

· Strong writing, communication, and language proficiency.

· Meticulous with attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

· Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines efficiently.

· Critical thinking and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with standards partners.

· Capable of working independently while being a team player.
