We are representing a global manufacturer of heat transfer products and services, specializing in developing resource-saving evaporative cooling equipment that conserves water and energy.

POSITION PURPOSE

The purpose of the Regional Sales Manager position is to define the regional strategy, lead, coach, and support the local sales managers and their distributors, and ultimately ensure that the team can deliver results in line with the growth projections. The Regional Sales Manager will establish and streamline best practices around market education, channel development, and pipeline management.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Sales Team Leadership
    1. Lead, motivate, and support the sales managers and independent sales representatives in SEA to achieve allocated sales targets.
    2. Coach and train the sales team in coordination with the regional marketing and engineering departments.
    3. Identify pain points and resource requirements to ensure a balanced workload distribution
    4. Assess and address training needs with each individual regularly.
  1. Sales Management and Business Development
    1. Work with the marketing department to perform a macro-analysis of the SEA region and optimize the approach for certain markets.
    2. Provide strategic input for setting realistic and goal-oriented business plans for each country.
    3. Execute business development strategies and business plans for growth according to the business plan of each country, setting objectives for each sales channel.
    4. Monitor sales pipelines and drive business development to generate more leads.
    5. Adherence to FCPA regulation

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  1. Quotation Activity: Pipeline Volume and Overall Market Coverage
  2. Sales Performance: Overall Hit Rate and Market Share
  3. Market Conversion: Promotional activities, market education, and generating new leads
  4. Talent Development and Retention

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience in sales of rotary machinery
  • 10 years of B2B sales management
  • Good English, additional local language is a plus
  • Strong people management skills with a proven track record
  • Business acumen
  • Result oriented
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Decisiveness and willingness to take calculated risks
  • Customer-oriented: good listening skills with a strong problem-solving mindset
  • Can captivate and convince an audience thanks to excellent communication, presentation, and training skills

  • Willingness to travel frequently (50%)
  • Strong work ethics and integrity
