Position Summary

The Presales Solutions serves as a consultative product specialist to Sales Directors in the region. The solutions consultant’s primary responsibility is to provide functional & technical support, including assessing customer needs with a consultative approach, creating custom demonstrations to the identified needs, and generally supporting the sales process with prospects and clients.

The primary product focus will be our Private Debt Portfolio Management solution, Sentry. The Presales Solutions Consultant will support the development of new buy side relationships directly with Hedge Funds, Private Debt Managers, and the Private Debt and Structured Credit divisions of Asset managers.

General Responsibilities
- Work alongside the sales directors in a Presales capacity.
- Establish domain expertise and credibility with customers on best practices.
- Assist the sales team in the completion of Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Information (RFI).
- Work with sales to prepare business analysis Discovery documentation and presentation material to prospects to highlight the value-add proposition of the software.
- Prepare business analysis discovery documentation and presentation material to product management teams for missing functional gaps.
- Communicate customer/prospect activities with the assigned sales executive.
- Deliver Proof of Concept (POC) tailored to meet customer’s functional and technical requirements.
- Serve as an internal expert on product functionality and technology supporting the Sales Team in a Pre-Sales Capacity
- Create sales support material to represent the solution offering to the client

Skills and Experience
- Extensive Presales experience in the financial technology industry.
- Experience with Credit or Private Market Portfolio Management Solutions or related products such as WSO, IHS-Markit ThinkFolio, Black Mountain Everest, Intex, etc.
- Strong background in Fixed Income, Structured Products, Public and Private Debt asset classes or knowledge of private debt or private equity institution requirements including Research Management, Order Management, Portfolio Management, Loan Administration, Rate Index Feeds, Reference Data, CLO Management, Accounting, Performance & Attribution, Compliance, Reconciliation, Reporting and BPO
- Strong appetite to build a deeper understanding of debt, private equity and structured product workflows
- Ability to take a consultative sales approach to problem solving with prospective clients.
- Strategic selling skills into large accounts.
- Ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
