**JOB SUMMARY**

To perform as the initial contact with the guests, to assist guests with ordering by providing great food and beverage knowledge, to perform all cashiering duties for the shift, and to assist server with the delivery of food and beverage requested professionally and expediently.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Set tables according to type of event and service standards.
- Answer questions on menu selections, daily specials as well as beverage and wine menus. Be able to explain each dish in detail and pass the knowledge on to Assistant Captains and new hires.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment.
- Have good knowledge of food & beverage and constantly ensure upselling is practice through recommendation or suggestive selling during order taking. Support the Supervisor on the daily set beverage goal as well as the targeted daily revenue.
- To have a proper handling and taking over of shifts.
- To be always on the floor at all times.
- Check on the cleanliness of the restaurant area and to do weekly inspection with the supervisor or manager.
- Cash/Bank Handling:

- Process all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.
- Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).
- Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and keeping bank secure at all times.
- Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedures.
- Set up and organize cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials; and maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Formal culinary training in food preparation and culinary management is a plus
- Good team player and team builder
- Will be assigned to at either one of the F&B outlets: (Wan Hao / Crossroads Cafe)

This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
