The Head of Last Mile is responsible for leading and driving a Last Mile operations team of about 200 members to achieve high and consistent performance in daily operations. As the last mile delivery of the transport chain, this team works closely with our contractor partners to improve delivery experience, and with internal operations teams to ensure an efficient and optimized network. He/she will develop and execute strategies to improve network planning, delivery service model, operational scale, and cost efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Business Operations**:

- Responsible for end to end last mile operations, including planning operational capacity, manpower planning and resource management budgeting, capacity, manpower planning, cost control, and truck utilization
- Lead and manage operations improvement projects to increase efficiencies; finalize initiatives into standardized operating procedure
- Oversee performance management, ensuring daily, weekly and monthly key metrics; ensure service level agreements are maintained

Capacity and Network Planning**:

- Work closely with commercial teams to forecast, plan, and build resource capacity to meet business needs and operational challenges
- Managing network assets such as, manpower and vehicles, with other functions in the transport chain to manage peak campaign volumes Contingency planning for unforeseen volume peaks and dips
- **Stakeholder Management**:

- Work well with the commercial teams to meet and exceed customers’ expectations daily and during peak periods
- Work well with domestic and regional operations teams to optimize and improve the first mile network

- Ensure high and consistent daily performance by providing leadership, guidance, and solutions to the team
- Structure and organize the team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities and set them up for success
- Leading staff meetings, conducting regular one-on-one’s, hiring, training, and development of employee performance

Project Management**:

- Integrate project scope into daily operations to ensure successful transition and adoption of new business model
- Plan resources and efforts to meet desired time, scope, and quality
- Manage major risk/critical issue to ensure minimum business impacts

**Requirements**:

- 8 - 10 years experience working in an operations role with leadership and managerial responsibilities for a large and diverse team of more than 100 members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for delivering clear and concise key messages
- Stakeholder management, influencing skills, and ability to work with key business partners
- Project management experience to manage project deliverables, resource allocation, and key milestones on time/budget to meet business objectives
- Willingness to identify coaching needs as well as develop coaching plans that incorporate key observations, trends, team development to achieve optimal results
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle setbacks and come up with solutions using creativity and attention to details
