Are you a confident and professional Business Development Manager with knowledge and experience of the RDF/SRF and municipal waste sectors?

We have a newly created role with a core focus to drive sales in our waste derived fuels capabilities. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and actioning our company sales strategy for the RDF/SRF and municipal waste sectors.

**Key Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

- Generate sales of £500k within the first 18 months.
- To work closely with operations in preparing quotations to ensure that the pricing achieves profit expectations and contractual obligations can be met.
- Input on reporting, forecasting, planning and market intelligence plus new business initiatives.
- To provide marketing information to the management team on competitor’s activity and new business opportunities.
- To work closely with the Marketing Team on developing marketing initiatives to generate new business.
- To maintain contact with clients to ensure satisfaction with the company's services.
- To draw to the attention of the Directors and Managers cases of dissatisfaction for remedial action ensuring that such cases are followed through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- To be an ambassador for the company, identifying and promoting the business ethics of the wider industry by attendance of professional meetings, conferences and exhibitions.
- Report on activities and provide relevant information to management.
- At all times work towards personal, Company and Group targets.
- Assist in the writing and submitting of tenders.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Executive level presence and influence with previous experience in business development, account management / customer service / sales.
- Experience and confidence of presenting to both internal and external audiences.
- Full, clean driving licence.

**Desirable**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent within a scientific discipline.
- Previous CRM experience

**What we offer you**:

- SALARY: £50,000 to £60,000 depending on skills and experience
- LOCATION: Homebased with regular travel to sites
- WORKING PATTERN: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
