Senior Export Sales Representative

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new accounts and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Manage the sales growth in ship chandlers and assigned export markets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major ship chandlers and export partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and trading terms to achieve optimal profitability.
  • Identify growth opportunities, analyze competitor activities, and recommend tactical actions.
  • Deliver strong customer service and maintain long-term business partnerships.
  • Monitor trade flows, shipping trends, and market intelligence to stay ahead of competition.
  • Provide product information, quotations, and after-sales service for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate and support with operation teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Provide regular feedback on product performance, pricing, and potential new product introductions.
  • Track sales performance against KPIs and report to Head of Export in weekly team meeting.
  • Contribute to sales forecasts and budgeting.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts, sales activities, and pipeline opportunities.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in FMCG in regional sales. Knowledge with bakery ingredients and food products is preferred.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business and Economics, other disciplines are welcomed to apply.
  • Familiar with payment terms such as telegraphic transfer (T/T) and Letter of Credit (L/C).
  • Good knowledge of shipping documents, Incoterms and Ocean freight process.
  • Team worker, resourceful and open to exploring ways to better tap the international business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and good time-management abilities.
  • Willing to travel to assigned export markets for business meetings when necessary.
