Payment Operations Intern

Internship Period: 12 January 2026 – 31 July 2026

Job Description:

As a Payments Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing domestic and cross-border remittance operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in banking operations, foreign exchange, and financial compliance. You will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to payment processing, client servicing, and operational excellence.

Key Learning Objectives:


•    Understand the end-to-end lifecycle of domestic and international payments.

•    Gain exposure to payment channels such as SWIFT and MEPS+.

•    Learn how to reconcile transactions and investigate payment discrepancies.

•    Develop familiarity with regulatory frameworks including AML, OFAC sanctions, and internal compliance policies.

•    Participate in FX conversion processes for cross-border transactions.

•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Relationship Managers and Traders.

•    Support client inquiries and troubleshoot payment-related issues.

•    Engage with external banks and payment processors to resolve transaction matters.

•    Contribute to process improvement initiatives and reporting activities.

Job Requirements:


•    Undergraduate in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields.

•    Strong interest in banking operations and payment systems.

•    Basic understanding of financial regulations and compliance practices.

•    Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

•    Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

•    Team player with good interpersonal skills.

This internship role is based in Singapore. It is open to Singaporean and PR students only.
