Market Risk Intern

Internship Period: 12 January 2026 – 31 July 2026

Job Description:

We are looking for 1 intern to join the Department and explore working in different teams in a rotational manner. 

[Product Control]


•    Prepare daily, monthly, and other periodic risk reports and provide Profit and Loss (PnL) analysis for the bank's trading and treasury portfolio for branches in Singapore.

•    Monitor market risk greeks such as Delta, PV01, Gamma, Vega and theta etc.

•    Monitor, investigate and report market risk limits and credit limits along with Volcker rule compliance.

•    Assist in creation of Python to improve the PC/market risk process automation.

•    Liaise with/answer inquiries from stakeholders, including Global Markets, Treasury, Back-office.

•    Capturing market data and ensuring integrity and accuracy of the data before uploading into front systems for Asia and Oceania region.

[Liquidity Risk]


•    Prepare daily liquidity risk reports, including workflow/process enhancement when necessary.

•    Support to prepare presentation material/report, liquidity risk commentary for Committee meetings i.e., Singapore ALM/MRM Committee and Regional Risk Management Committee.

•    Monitor, investigate and report limit excesses and support Manager in periodic limit review process.

•    Effectively communicate and liaise with stakeholders, including regional branches, Global Markets, Treasury and provide liquidity risk analysis/information.

•    Support Manager to enhance EUC and to ensure compliance with all relevant Group and local policies and procedures, including but not limited to Liquidity Risk policies and procedures.

•    Simplification and Consolidation of current Liquidity Risk Internal workflows and reports as part of 3S initiative, via the use of Alteryx/Tableau to further simplify and standardize our current data collection.

•    Support liquidity risk team in further enhancing the control framework under guidelines of recommendations.

•    Support liquidity risk team in relevant review of P&P updates after the improvement of above. This will give intern more end to end tasks in the team.

[Market Risk Analytics]


•    Provide analysis of risk exposures, Value at Risk (VaR).

•    Provide market risk stress testing and analysis.

•    Provide daily VaR back-testing.

•    Support to prepare Singapore ALM/MRM Committee material.

•    Provide Volcker rule metrics reporting and analysis.

•    Monitor Benchmark submissions e.g SORA. 

•    Assist in creation of Tableau market risk dashboards to improve in PC/market risk analysis

•    Perform ad-hoc project UAT, EUC tool enhancement (Excel VBA, Python) to streamline the processes and operations. 

•    Support senior staff members on various projects and initiatives

Job Requirements:


•    Undergraduate in Finance/Economics/Statistics is preferred.

•    Good knowledge of Global Market products.

•    Good knowledge of Excel with VBA and other Microsoft office application. 

•    Good initiative and inter-personal skills, ability to work efficiently in a team and independently.

•    Good communication and presentation skills (both verbal & writing).
