Position Overview

The Quote Specialist covers all ASIA region SBDU quotes, their main responsibility is to facilitate the quoting process and provide tactical support to PM/SPM from end to end.

They will take the excel data from our customers and manipulate to fit into our in-house quoting system, support the quoting process and extract this data from our system after quoting is complete back into the customers file using Excel.

The QS will also be required to provide analysis and reporting using in house software and Microsoft office suites.

Responsibilities

  • RFQ support (expanded below)
  • Process BIM Conversion RFQ from sales for part list to be added to bond.
  • Process Coverage RFQ from sales for selected branch focus customers.
  • Process Sonos RFQ on weekly addons for contract price validation.
  • Upload Customer Award / Feedback by line details to dashboard.
  • Prepare Award Conversion trackers for SBDU buy quotes (Weekly).
  • Prepare Offline(non upload) inventory/price curves quotes for PM/SPM (CAT 3's/weekly MRP buys)
  • Complete ilearn courses as assigned.

RFQ support:

  • RFQ/file extraction for customer's on-line quote system
  • With PM/SPM, review RFQs received from customers (on-line, excel, pdf) to develop the most effective process to prepare file for quoting
  • Prepare raw BOM Analysis (when deemed necessary) to assist PM/SPM with quote upload strategy. (Incumbent vs incremental vs new)
  • Manipulate raw bill of materials to prepare for upload, and conversion back into the customer's format.
  • Follow SOPs for uploading a quote, to ensure all relevant lines are captured for upload.
  • Quote manipulation to provide summaries as required including:

(i) Pre-BOM analysis;

(ii) sorting/extractions (by Mfr/BU/Region/Site/etc),

(iii) subtotals,

(iv) mass update,

(v) merge files.

  • Identify and communicate any missing/incomplete quote data resulting in potential problems in the upload/download of the data; and suggest solutions.
  • Provide executive summaries/extractions / award validations / feedback
  • AIC scan and mass updates into upload templates
  • Prepare supplementary analysis as requested to assist Program Management in data integrity, quote positioning, feedback and post mortem:

(i) Executive Summaries

(ii) Validations

(iii) Awards/ Feedback files

(iv) Reporting

  • Calculate and prepare cut in dates for customer copies
  • Prepare preliminary QMs for PM/SPM/Marketing to review

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of a Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 year working experience in related fields
