Job Purpose:

To oversee daily operations in a restaurant, ensure customer satisfaction, manage staff performance, and maintain high standards of food service, hygiene, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management

  2. Supervise daily front-of-house (FOH) operations (and back-of-house if required).

  3. Ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.
  4. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards.
  5. Handle inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained

  6. Staff Supervision

  7. Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests.

  8. Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching.
  9. Monitor employee performance and enforce company policies.
  10. Resolve staff conflicts or escalate to management.

  11. Customer Service

  12. Greet and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction.

  13. Handle customer complaints or special requests promptly and professionally.
  14. Ensure high-quality service is consistently delivered.

  15. Financial Duties

  16. Assist in cash handling, daily sales reports, and shift balancing.

  17. Monitor wastage and implement cost-control measures.
  18. Help meet sales targets and suggest improvements.

  19. Compliance & Standards

  20. Enforce compliance with food safety, alcohol laws, and health regulations.

  21. Conduct regular inspections and maintain documentation.
  22. Ensure brand standards are met at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (essential)
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry
  • Certifications in food safety or alcohol service (may be required depending on region)
