About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Solutions Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong industry knowledge, excellent client engagement skills, and the ability to design and manage end-to-end security system solutions. You will play a key role in expanding our market presence, strengthening client relationships, and delivering high quality security solutions across multiple sectors.
What You'll Do
1. Business Development
- Identify and target potential clients across commercial, government, industrial, and residential sectors to grow the company's portfolio of security solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including security managers, IT managers, and procurement officers.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to refine strategies and capture new opportunities.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to stay informed on market developments and generate leads.
- Deliver impactful presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals tailored to client needs.
2. Solution Design & Management
- Engage closely with clients to understand their security challenges and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and technical teams to design and propose customized security solutions (CCTV, access control, alarm systems, integrated platforms).
- Ensure solutions are cost-effective, scalable, compliant, and aligned with clients' operational needs.
- Lead the proposal and scoping process, including preparation of detailed quotations, solution outlines, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability and compatibility of hardware and software components.
3. Lead Tender Excellence
- Manage end-to-end tender processes — from solutioning to submission.
- Develop competitive pricing models aligned with performance outcomes and market conditions.
- Collaborate across internal teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and successful delivery of tender requirements.
- Ensure timely preparation of all documents, approvals, and supporting materials to maintain a high tender success rate.
4. Project Oversight & Implementation
- Oversee end-to-end implementation of security solutions, working with project managers and installation teams.
- Ensure seamless integration of solutions into clients' existing systems and environments.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong customer rapport.
- Manage client expectations and handle post-installation support to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
5. Collaboration & Reporting
- Share industry best practices and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Prepare regular reports on sales pipelines, opportunities, challenges, and business performance for senior management.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to align business strategies with product capabilities and market demands.
- Provide feedback related to customer needs, product gaps, and industry trends to support product development initiatives.
What Knowledge & Experience We Require From You
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, solution management, or tendering within the security systems or related technology industry.
- Strong understanding of security technologies including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
- Proven success in leading tender exercises and delivering customized security solutions for diverse clients.
- Strong business acumen with excellent negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits when required.
