This role provides day-to-day leadership to the junior staff, act as a key liaison with clinical service providers and payors, and help protect hospital revenue by managing deposits/payments, and seamless claims processing, while delivering excellent patient service.

  • Serve as liaison person between multiple stakeholders to coordinate all activities in the Mount Elizabeth Royal Square Centre, to ensure a seamless journey for patients, which includes monitoring patient's arrivals, engaging in admitting and discharging activities.
  • Perform admission process, which includes providing financial counselling
  • Perform patient accounts follow up
  • Perform Billing during discharge
  • Perform Cashiering – payment collections (credit card, cash, nets, cheques)
  • Management of junior staff which includes assist in training and guiding new and junior staff in work processes and functions, roster and deployment planning, conducting appraisals
  • Handle difficult customer queries pertaining to admission/in-flight collections/Drs Fees billing and cashiering processes and functions that is referred by PAO.
  • Uphold patient experience/service excellence expectations which includes handling and/or guiding junior staff in handling difficult customers pertaining to admission/in-flight collections/Drs Fees billing and cashiering processes and functions
  • Ensure operational excellence by meeting department KPIs and conducting audits, suggesting workflow process improvement for the efficient running of department.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by superiors

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Degree with a minimum 3 years' experience, or
  • Diploma Level with minimum 5 years working experience
  • Healthcare related/ Accounting/ Finance/ Banking Hospitality / Mass Communication/Marketing
  • Candidate must have computer literacy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, good team player with ability to multi-task, is patient and tolerant in handling difficult customers, mature, value and outcome driven and possess a pleasant personality.
  • Effectively bilingual with prior experience in training and guiding staff would be an added advantage.
  • Candidate should note they may be required to handle occasional after-hours escalation if required.
