Assistant Chef

Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Assistant Chef.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in dish creation, preparation, and menu planning, while implementing new recipes.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and cost control.
- Ensure all dishes maintain consistent quality, presentation, and taste.
- Monitor wastage, manage portion control, and ensure cost effectiveness of food ingredients.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance with food regulations.
- Be flexible in assisting with various kitchen duties as needed.
- Perform additional meal preparation and tasks as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant culinary experience.
- Valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 certification is a must.
- Proven ability to manage kitchen operations and costs while maintaining high-quality standards, even under pressure.
- Willingness to handle various ad-hoc meal preparation and duties as required by management.
