Work Hours/Schedule: Regular working hours, Monday to Friday (8.30am – 6.00pm)

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time (replacement position)

Salary Range: $5,000 – $7,000 (commensurate with experience)

Package: 13th month AWS, performance bonus (around 2.5 months), and annual increment of ~3%

Job Description:

Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of departments under Operations Shared Services such as Facilities Management, Environmental Services, Security, etc.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in planning and developing cost recovery strategies, including performing cost allocations based on agreed basis.
  • Manage grants-related work (around 60% of role scope), including:

    • Reviewing claims from grants

    • Supporting audit processes by grantors

    • Preparing reports for grantors

    • Tracking and monitoring grant usage
  • Provide accounting services and support to related entities.
  • Oversee, with your team, timely and accurate accounting, reconciliation, claims reimbursements and reporting of funded programmes for Research, Education, Regional Health and Talent Development.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting exercises for assigned departments.
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Deputy Director and/or Chief Financial Officer.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with Chartered Accountant (CA) accreditation
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, preferably with grants-related accounting work
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and accounting reporting requirements, tax regulations and guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel); knowledge of SAP is an advantage
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Independent, self-driven, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with proven ability to manage cross-functional and institutional relationship
