Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trade Finance & Operations Manager with experience in commercial trading to manage banking operations and trade finance processes functions. This role requires strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced international trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the opening, annual review, maintenance, and closure of company bank accounts, maintaining effective communication with bank relationship managers.
  • Review and approve payment requests, track and notify incoming payments, and provide early alerts for any discrepancies.
  • Manage local and foreign currency account transactions via online banking or in-person processing.
  • Oversee cash receipts, payments, and safe custody of cash.
  • Administer payroll processing for employees.
  • Collect, organise, and submit banking documents such as bank advice, payment receipts, and petty cash reimbursements.
  • Prepare and submit daily financial reports.
  • Handle trade finance matters including Letters of Credit (LC), Bills of Exchange, and bank guarantees.
  • Coordinate with shipping, operations, and sales teams to ensure accurate financial documentation for import/export transactions.

Requirement

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in finance, banking, or administrative roles within a commercial trading environment.
  • Hands-on experience in trade finance operations such as LC processing and export/import documentation.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Good communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
