This is a greenfield operation with immense backing and a mandate to win.

Role: Business Development Manager - Market Lead

Location: Singapore (Pasir Panjang)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the comprehensive market entry strategy for supplier acquisition and partnership development.
  • Personally lead and close high-value negotiations with major key accounts, including national distributors, large local brands, and potential strategic B2B2C partners.
  • Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Business Development Executives.
  • Provide deep analytical insight into the competitive landscape, supply chain logistics, and regulatory environment to shape the go-to-market strategy.
  • Act as the commercial owner in Singapore, coordinating with global HQ on supply chain, tech, and marketing, while managing local operational and legal complexities.
  • Own the commercial targets for the market, managing budgets and forecasting for assortment growth and revenue.

Ideal Profile:

  • More than 5 years in business development, strategic partnerships, or key account management within the Singaporean FMCG, E-commerce, or Retail sector.
  • An extensive and proven network within the food, grocery, and supply chain industry in Singapore is essential.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, ideally within a market launch, high-growth startup, or a major market expansion.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building commercial strategy, negotiating complex contracts, and managing a P&L.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred for seamless collaboration with corporate headquarters.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
