Our client is a global company focused on the energy and shipbuilding industries. The role is centered on identifying new business opportunities, managing overseas projects, and playing a key part in expanding the company's presence in Asia by helping to establish the Singapore office

Key Responsibilities

  • Following global market trends, analyzing competitors, and using this data to shape company strategies.
  • Identifying new investment opportunities, conducting feasibility studies for projects and proposals, and developing implementation plans.
  • Participating in the bidding and contract processes for new projects.
  • Building relationships with project stakeholders and coordinating with both internal teams and external advisors.
  • taking ownership of the Singapore office setup and managing its daily administrative functions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidate must currently live in Singapore
  • A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Economics from a top-tier university is required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar business development role, ideally within the energy sector.
  • Functional experience is needed in strategy, project management, customer strategies, and financial planning. Familiarity with contract management is a strong advantage.
  • International work experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
  • Strong command of MS Office applications, financial understanding, and familiarity with international standards and bidding processes.
  • Possess a high level of communication, negotiation, and reporting skills, along with analytical thinking and a results-driven mindset
