What you'll do:
As a Sales Executive within this high-performing brokerage team based in Singapore, you will be at the heart of daily trading operations-ensuring every client interaction is handled with care and precision. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve monitoring global markets for actionable insights, executing trades across diverse asset classes with accuracy, and building strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders. - Continuously expand your product knowledge by staying informed on new offerings, procedural updates, and industry trends relevant to traded instruments.
- Ensure all trading activities comply with risk management protocols by identifying potential issues early and taking appropriate action to mitigate them.
- Identify new business opportunities by analysing market trends and client activity, proactively communicating these insights to drive revenue generation through increased trading volumes.
- Maintain meticulous trade records by logging transactions accurately and assisting with ad hoc reporting requirements as well as research tasks when needed.
- Support day-to-day operational tasks within the brokerage team while actively contributing ideas for process improvements that enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product development, technology, and operations departments to deliver seamless client experiences.
What you bring:
To excel as a Sales Executive in this organisation's brokerage division, you will bring proven experience from previous roles within trading or financial services environments. Your academic background in finance or related disciplines provides a solid foundation for understanding complex market dynamics. - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field demonstrating foundational knowledge essential for success in capital markets roles.
- At least two years' experience working within trading desks, brokerage environments or other financial markets settings where practical exposure has been gained.
- Comprehensive understanding of capital markets including equities, foreign exchange (FX), derivatives and fixed income instruments enabling effective trade execution.
- Demonstrated ability to operate calmly under pressure during busy market periods while maintaining focus on accuracy and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with clear communication abilities allowing you to interpret complex data quickly for both clients and colleagues alike.
- Familiarity with electronic trading platforms as well as market data tools; prior exposure to APIs would be considered advantageous but not mandatory.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring all trade records are accurate whilst maintaining awareness of associated risks throughout each transaction cycle.
