Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Chef to help lead the kitchen operations of our Malaysian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of Kitchen experience in Asian cuisine, experience in managing a kitchen team, and a commitment to delivering authentic flavours and high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help lead and manage daily kitchen operations
  • Oversee food preparation for both buffet and à la carte service
  • Co-design and develop new menu items with a focus on authentic Malaysian flavours
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety compliance
  • Manage kitchen staff and provide training where necessary
  • Handle inventory management, budgeting, and cost control
  • Respond to customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Asian Chef, including experience managing a kitchen team
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian cuisine is essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must be Singaporean or Malaysian

Working Hours and Rest Days:

  • 6-day work week
  • Schedule: 9am - 9pm (to be discussed)

    0.5 hours lunch break

    0.5 hours dinner break

    Additional rest from 3:00pm to 5:00pm (4:15 on weekends)
  • One weekday off per week

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $3,200 – $3,600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
