The Opportunity:

My client is an wellknown O&G player with a forefront of shaping a more sustainable future by actively driving global initiatives in the energy transition space. The company is committed to enabling the shift from traditional fuels to low-carbon and renewable energy sources. Their strategic focus includes supporting new energy value chains - such as hydrogen, biofuels, and ammonia-while modernizing infrastructure to meet evolving environmental standards.

The Job:

Market Analysis

  • Monitor the oil, chemical, and gas markets, tracking product developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify key trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Prepare market briefs, reports, and scenario analyses to support the Commercial Director and wider commercial teams.
  • Maintain and improve reporting tools and dashboards to enhance market visibility and support data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with global market intelligence colleagues to share insights and ensure regional alignment.
  • Handle ad-hoc research requests, prioritizing and delivering timely, high-quality insights to internal stakeholders.

Business Development

  • Support the identification and qualification of new business opportunities in collaboration with the Commercial Director and Sales Managers.
  • Participate in customer meetings, assist in preparing proposals, and support contract discussions.
  • Keep the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) updated with accurate opportunity and pipeline information.
  • Translate market intelligence into commercial talking points, sales materials, and value propositions.
  • Assist with renewals and client growth initiatives, ensuring proactive and solution-oriented engagement with customers.

The Talent:

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in market research, commercial support, or business development in O&G commodity sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge in O&G commodity market trend
  • Sales hunter mindset to identify new business opportunity
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills. Has also strong stakeholder management skills.
