We empower B2B eCommerce platforms with broader access to global trade and innovative digital solutions, leveraging novel technologies and solutions to simplify cross-platform and cross-border trade around the world. We are growing fast, powering cross-border trading, one platform at a time, with the primary aim - To facilitate trade for SMEs.
**The Opportunity**:
The Commercial Lead will play a role as we commercialise our solution, with a lens in both partnerships and strategy.
- Partnerships: Managing and growing the Proxtera ecosystem by liaising with external stakeholders to accelerate and close trade opportunities. Participate in other commercial activities
- Strategy: Participate in strategic projects, investor relations and financial analytics & modelling.

**What you will do**:
- Act as the first point of contact to manage, refine trade and/or financing opportunities into qualified leads for matching.
- Maintain commercial synergies with our network partners, such as (but not limited to): Trade Platforms, Associations & Chambers, Payments providers, Financial institutions & Fintechs
- Coordinate and match trade/financing opportunities between buyers, sellers and service providers
- Support in identifying potential solutions for a specific challenge (topics include strategy, go-to-market, market entry, product, pricing, planning etc.)
- Research industry outlook, business trends, anticipated key challenges and competitors’ positioning, thus developing the economic rationale for Proxtera’s product solution suite.
- Manage business cases with scenario-based forecasts as well as capital and operational requirements
- Calculate financial implications for decisions taken by the team
- Support strategic and financial planning processes
- Prepare pitches to potential customers and/or partners and/or investors
**What you bring to the table**:
- Min. 5 years experience in any of the following cross-border e-commerce operations, trade finance, sourcing, procurement, wholesale trading, or other fast-paced environments (Strategy and/or Finance Experience is preferred)
- Highly operational leader who can own the full spectrum of responsibilities across operations
- Experience managing operations AND/OR Sales in either: Commodity trading/b2b platforms, FinTechs, Trade finance operations in banks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time and schedules in order to close deals
- Strong passion to work in a start-up, agile environment and manage ambiguity
- Well formed quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Extensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau desirable
- Understanding of Python and building models strongly preferred
