**About the Role**
As the Business Development Manager for Japan, you will play a crucial role in introducing VentureBlick's services to the Japanese market. This position is intended for individuals with strong ties to Japan and residing in Korea or Singapore, offering a unique opportunity to bridge our core business teams with the Japanese market. Your efforts will directly influence VentureBlick's growth and success in Japan. Additionally, you will provide support to the Korea or Singapore team on key projects and initiatives to enhance cross-border collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Strategic Market Development**
- Lead the creation and execution of strategies to introduce VentureBlick's services to the Japanese market.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and understand the competitive landscape.
- Assist the leadership team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Japanese healthcare sector.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align market entry strategies with overall business objectives.
**2. Partnership Management and Project Execution**
- Establish and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including healthcare providers and distributors.
- Serve as the primary liaison between VentureBlick and Japanese partners, ensuring effective communication.
- Oversee inbound projects such as market intelligence gathering, go-to-market support, and technology scouting, ensuring they incorporate insights from the Japanese market.
- Support key projects for the Korea or Singapore team, contributing to initiatives that foster cross-border collaboration and strengthen VentureBlick's presence in both regions.
**Who You Are**
- Fluent in Japanese (native level) and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
- Residing in Korea or Singapore with legal authorisation to work in the respective country without employer sponsorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 5-8 years in business development within the healthcare sector, focusing on the Japanese market.
- Proven track record in establishing strategic partnerships and driving market growth
- Deep understanding of Japan’s healthcare industry, regulatory environment, and cultural nuances
- Strategic thinker with effective executive skills
- Strong analytical abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
