**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Area of Responsibility**

1. Regional Strategic Planning and Management

**Key Activities/Elements**
- Carry out leading role of the governance of and support given to DLI’s subsidiary in Cambodia (Dai-ichi Life Insurance (Cambodia) PLC.) as well as Indonesia (PT Panin Dai-ichi Life), and ensure that these companies continue to deliver high-level performance and operate based on sound governance, so as to meet the strict standard of DLI group as well as Japan and Singapore’s statutory requirements.
- Acts as the overall liaison between Head Office, DLIAP, and subsidiary in Cambodia and Indonesia.
- Carry out leading role of the Identification and evaluation of M&A opportunities of the insurance industry especially in Cambodia and Indonesia and be responsible for timely and appropriate reporting to the senior management of the company, as well as the relevant departments of the Global Headquarters in Japan. This position is required to actively lead the due diligence exercises on the potential targets, in order to contribute to group-wide business growth.
- Carry out leading role of the formulation of the relevant strategies and overseeing the implementation to propel the growth of subsidiaries in Cambodia and Indonesia, mainly in the domain of sales, finance and investment. By working together with other relevant departments, this position is expected to oversee the talent development of employees (especially sales personnel) and achievement of KPIs in subsidiaries, consisting of 410 staff members.
- Day-to-day management of 5 staff members in the department; provide appropriate instruction as necessary, motivate, evaluate and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure various group policies based on laws, regulations and guidance from the authorities are shared and inculcated in subsidiaries in Cambodia and Indonesia.

**Key Activities/Elements**
- Co-work with Senior Management and Corporate Dept of AP office. to direct reporting of necessary information to the relevant departments in Head Office. Since our Head Office is a listed company in Japan, this position is responsible for assisting Senior Management to make timely disclosures in accordance with the requirements of the Tokyo Stock Market and reporting to the Japanese financial authorities in cooperation with HQ as required

- Keeping projects on track, meeting budget goals and deadlines.
- Facilitation of conversation with all involved parties and stakeholders.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Education**

Bachelor’s degree and above

**Experience**

Experience of business management in life insurance companies

**Functional Competencies**
- At least 10 years of working experience in life insurance company operating globally, including experience as Senior Manager role or above. This position is expected to possess extensive expertise of the industry.
- Experience in bancassurance and/or distribution planning in the insurance industry would be an advantage.
- Experience in sales department in insurance industry
- Experience in finance / investment planning department in insurance industry
- Experience of managing overseas subsidiary of a financial industry listed in world’s major stock market (New York, NASDAQ, Tokyo, Shanghai, Euronext, London) as Senior Manager or above, regularly reporting for management level meetings of HQ directly
- Experience in managing a team of more than 5 staffs
- Have financial acumen and expertise in the different financial indicators such as firm’s assets, product lines, regions, markets, regulations and stakeholders
- Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders to facilitate appropriate functional decision-making
- Broad understanding across geographies of the different stages of market & organizational maturity

**Position Competencies**
- Have flexible and creative mindset to draw up new strategies and have courage to propose new ideas and ability to overcome potential conflicts of the status quo.
- Ability to have a good relationship and partnerships with others inside and outside of the organization
- Understand group strategy, the role of the local business and take into account regional and local impacts on day to day activities
