The Sales Director is responsible for overall sales strategy for targeted airline and leasing customers in APAC region. He will contribute to the annual sales plan by selling engine services and solutions in APAC. The position reports to President - Engine Services.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain industry knowledge of current market trends, competitive landscape, customer needs across key APAC markets for engine MRO and leasing business
- Responsible for defining growth strategy, identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with targeted customers within assigned region
- Responsible to achieve and exceed annual sales targets, sign new MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) contracts and retain customers by continuous value creation
- Be responsible for accurately forecasting engine shop-visit opportunities and participating in sales/account reviews with management. Ensure CRM (SFDC) records are always updated
- Lead and actively participate in design/preparation and delivery of customer presentations and represent GATES at industry and aviation conferences in person
- Responsible for meeting Trade Compliance requirements, lead "Know Your Customer" (KYC) approval process
- Identify new business opportunities and open doors for other GA Telesis businesses
- Develop strategy and lead deal team, internal cooperation, counselling and negotiation for large MRO campaigns
- Lead sales agreement negotiation, amendment and execution in concert with commercial team
- Responsible for contractual flow down and smooth hand-over to customer service and production teams once engine MRO contracts are won and executed
- Lead solving of ongoing commercial issues and support deal profitability during the contract term
- Lead cash collection and AR/PD management for assigned large customers that have contracts

**Qualifications**
- This role requires 10-15 years’ experience in Sales and at least 10 Years in Aviation
- Strong industry knowledge and experience of airline and aviation business, regulations, environment and constraints, engine MRO industry trends and competitive landscape in APAC
- Ability to understand technical aspects of turbine engine technology and repair processes
- Ability to understand commercial levers needed to win customer contracts
- University degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience
- Excellent spoken and written English language
- Proven negotiation and deal closing skills
- Adaptability and strong customer mindset
- Integrity, accountability, loyalty
- Team player with ability to operate independently
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Willingness to travel
