**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in menu planning and the development of new pastry items.
- Supervise and train pastry staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and baking areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely production and service during events and busy periods.
- Experiment with new techniques and flavor combinations to enhance the pastry menu.
- Ensure all baked goods meet presentation standards before serving.Assist in the management of labor costs and food waste in the pastry section.
**Requirements**:
- At least two (2) years of working experience in the related field and in similar capacity
- Thorough understanding of all occupational health & safety issues
- Flexible and energetic
- Excellent communicator, team player and with leadership qualitiesHas thorough knowledge of all food products - local and imported
- **5-day work week
